Training for Impact

The overwhelming majority of adult training sessions ought to focus on practical applications. Leaders invest in sending their personnel for training (at the cost of lost productivity in the workplace) with the expectation that these employees will return more proficient (whether in effectiveness or efficiency, or both). However, scientific insights reveal that success is seldom achieved through training that predominately relies on slide shows and lectures. Since adults are inherently problem solvers, they require hands-on, activity-oriented training that allows them to refine skills in the controlled environment of a classroom (whether physical or virtual, or directly on the job site). Frequently, most "trainers" tasked with creating a course will default to producing a multitude of slides filled with extensive paragraphs, graphs, and bullet lists. The training predominantly revolves around lectures with minimal participation from the attendees. By the end of such sessions, participants are generally eager to exit, and upon returning to their job, when queried about what they learned, responses vary from "nothing" to "overwhelmingly informative".

Functional Facilitation Workshop is a five-day workshop that uses application-based learning to teach facilitation skills, activity design, classroom set-up, group dynamics and more. Purchase and completion of the workshop includes 2-20 minute coaching sessions (in most cases virtual) (must be within 6 months of training workshop completion).

Facilitation Coaching

Our offerings include expert coaching in facilitation and activity design, tailored through our comprehensive packages below.

Sessions (30 minutes) (in most cases virtual)

Bronze Package - 1 session $150.00. Additional coaching added to free sessions from workshop to complete complex activities.

Silver Package - 2 sessions $250.00. Best used for activity design and instruction.

Gold Package - 6 sessions $1200.00. Best used for multiple activity designs for a course and process facilitation design. A 7th 30 minute session is free as a follow-up to the actual facilitation.
